The iLMS@NTHU Account

After paying the registration fee, each participant will receive a confirmation email together with an iLMS account, starting with "biopro2015iXXX" and a password. The iLMS account is used to login the Integrated Learning Management system of the NTHU for

  1. Tracking latest announcements of the BioPro Summer School
  2. Subscribing to hands-on projects of the BioPro Summer School.
  3. Initiating discussion forums
  4. Sharing information or discussion for hands-on projects.
  5. Organizing social events

Registration and Extra Services

Registration Procedure

To participate in the summer school, please sign in the BioPro2015 website first. New users can apply for a web account simply by clicking “New User”. After logging in the BioPro website, please click the “Registration” icon to complete your registration by the following steps:.

  1. In the questionnaire, please choose the answers in accordance with your identity and personal needs.
  2. By pressing the “submit” icon, two tables are shown
    • The top table requires you to fill in the information needed for the school organization (including your insurance during the school).
    • The bottom table summarizes the total price (including the accommodation and train ticket services you choose).
  3. By pressing the “register” icon, a summary table comes out with the payment method shown below. The registration is completed after your payment is received (The payment status will become “Payment Finished”). Note that a delay of a few days might be needed for us to confirm the receipt of your payment.
  4. Before your payment is made, you are allowed to modify your registration package by clicking "Modify Registration Information".

Accommodation Booking Service

While participants may book hotels by their own during the summer school, the BioPro2015 organizer provides the extra service of booking the National Dong Hwa University Guest House located within the NDHU campus. The discounted price is TWD 800 per night per person. Every two persons will share the same room with two double beds, and the breakfast is included in the room rate. The NDHU Guest house can accommodate a maximum number of 80 persons. First-come first-served policy is applied. The "Accommodation" page details how to book the NDHU Guest House, and the table below summarizes the options for the booking service.It is possible to arrange larger rooms for domestic faculty and international participants who will travel with family members. Railway Tickets Booking Service

Although railway tickets between Taipei and Hualien can be booked on-line (http://railway.hinet.net/) two weeks before your travelling date, it is sometimes uneasy to book a train that fits your travel. To makes your travel easier, the BioPro2015 organizer provides the extra service of booking train tickets from Taipei to Hualien on Aug. 24th and from Hualien to Taipei on Aug. 31st.

From Taipei to Hualien on Aug. 24th, five different trains are selected for our booking service:

The “Transportation” page details how to apply for our ticket-booking service. We will try to book 30 seats for each train on Aug.24th and 60 seats for each train on Aug.31st two months before the travelling dates. But the organizing committee can not guarantee the booking will be successful, as we need to compete with all travel agents in Taiwan. If the ticket is not successfully booked for your request, the ticket charge will be fully refund to you. In addition, for dometic faculties and international participants travelling with their families, it is possible to book more tickets by sending your special requests to our e-mail (biopro2015.favs@gmail.com).

Brainstorming Day Tour

The brainstorming tour is included in the registration fee. Each participant is eligible to choose one of the following tours in the registration questionaire

  1. Route A: (North Bound) Taroko National Park + Tianxiang + Shakadang Trail 太魯閣國家公園+天祥+砂卡礑步道
  2. Route B: (South Bound 1) LinTian Mountain Forestry Center + Fataan Wetland + Ruishui Dairy Farm + Maizuru Tea Farm 林田山+馬太鞍濕地+瑞穗牧場+舞鶴茶園(掃叭石柱、公主咖啡)
  3. Route C: (Sea Bound) Butterfly Valley + Changhong Bridge + Shi Ti Ping 蝴蝶谷+長虹橋+石梯坪
  4. Route D: (Raining Case) OceanPark 海洋公園
  5. Route E: (Raining Case)Museum 花蓮觀光酒廠+松園別館+文創園區+石雕博物館

  • International participants

    Please use the IniForum's "BioPro2015 Payment Collection Service" to pay your registration fee by credit cards. The currency exchanging rate we use for TWD to Swiss Franc (CHF) is 31.4:1. For example： TWD$8000 →CHF$255.
    Afterwards, please email the Summary Information at the registration page to us biopro2015.favs@gmail.com. This would allow us to confirm your payment as soon as possible.

Refund Policy

Cancellation can be made with full refund before 2015/7/31 by emailing your request to biopro2015.favs@gmail.com No refund can be made afterwards.
